You are invited to join us at CURRENT in January in Cranberry Twp as we worship and learn about Savior.
Current is Western Pa UMC's youth retreat (formerly called SPARK). It is for youth in 6-12th grade and their leaders. It is an entire weekend of worship, Bible messages, and fun.
This years event will feature guest speaker Shane Sanchez
Shane has been involved in student ministry for over a decade in both volunteer and staff roles. He continues to learn from and be inspired by the next generation. He’s passionate about leading teenagers to find thriving life in Jesus and the continued progress of the local church. He loves investing in other youth ministry leaders, speaking to students and adults, and writing content that inspires innovation. He spent 8 years as a student pastor at MISSION Community Church in Gilbert, AZ and Gwinnett Church in Sugar Hill, GA . Now, he currently works as the Director of High School Content at Orange.
Shane’s most important roles are husband and father. He loves his wife, Heather, kids, Asher, Oliver, Elliot, and Mila and still aspires to one day dunk a basketball.

STILL IS AN INDEPENDENT WORSHIP PROJECT STRIVING TO SHOW THE EXCITEMENT OF FOLLOWING JESUS.
Our mission is to use music to create a space where people can experience the true and full gracious love of our God, inviting them to step out in their faith and worship. Our pursuit of this goal has led us to doing an array of events and worship nights across the United States.
We are bold and excited about worshiping our Savior and we lead others in contemporary worship songs as well as original songs to help create a space for them to engage with the excitement of coming into contact with love, grace, and the transformative power of the gospel.
Our name comes from Psalm 46:10 where the psalmist reminds the reader that they are to “Be Still and know that I am God.” This comes after a cacophony of noise and activity where we are reminded that though the earth give way, God is our fortress. We think that’s pretty exciting and something to get excited about while finding time to stop and bask in His awe inspiring presence.
Several of our United Methodist church youth groups have had Still host worship nights and loved it!

When:
January 12-14, 2024
Times:
We will depart the church around 5pm. (Definitive time announced later)
We will arrive home on Sunday between 12pm and 1pm
Where:
Events will be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Cranberry, PA
How Much:
Two Students sharing one hotel room plus registration is $234 per student
Three Students sharing one hotel room plus registration is $196 per student
Four Students sharing one hotel room plus registration is $172 per student
These costs require registration by November 22nd.
The cost will rise by $40 per person if you register after that date.
The youth will need additional funds to purchase dinner on Saturday night as well as any snacks, drinks, etc, they may want to purchase while we are there.
