Church Council - Oversees and votes on matters of church policy. The Council also sets goals and the direction for the church. Worship Committee - The Worship Committee deals with all elements of the worship service. They work closely with the pastor to plan for holidays, decorate the altar, schedule special music, etc. Education Committee - Education oversees the Sunday School program, and special education events including Kids Night Out and Vacation Bible school. Finance Committee - Responsibilities of the Finance Committee include reviewing the church budget at each meeting, providing guidance to the treasurer, planning an annual stewardship campaign and making recommendations to the Council about the use of holiday offerings. SPRC (Staff Parish Relations Committee) - All personnel issues are handled by the SPRC including hiring, firing and performance reviews. Trustees - The Trustees are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of church property. In addition to taking care of the building and property, this committee reviews insurance policies, building use policies, etc. Missions - Reaching out beyond our local congregation is the job of the Missions Committee. They plan the annual Christmas Angel Tree and other special projects throughout the year. Igniting Ministries Team - The national United Methodist Church is committed to heighten denominational awareness through an extensive media campaign. The local Igniting Ministries team works to make our congregation more welcoming and inviting. Memorial Committee - This committee determines the best use of memorial and honor funds. They also plan the events surrounding All Saints Sunday when we recognize those from our congregation who have died in the preceding year as well as dedicate memorial gifts.
